About
Hello, thanks for visiting my website.
Originally from the North East I’m a London based designer who creates set, costumes, installations and occasionally one off fashion pieces. I also have a massive passion for architecture and sculpture in all its forms.
I graduated with a First Class Degree in Set Design from Wimbledon College of Art having previously studied Fashion Design at Middlesex University.
In-between my studies, I worked with fashion designer Alexander McQueen and after graduation, I assisted the set and costume designers David Farley and Neil Patel on a number of London productions including Little Shop of Horrors and Underneath the Lintel.
This was followed by set and costume design for various drama and musical productions on the London Fringe and off West End, including a film backdrop for the Linbury Studio at the Royal Opera House, a summer placement on the BBC design scheme and production design for the feature film Playing the Moldovans at Tennis.
In early 2014, I decided to take a break from freelance set design and concentrated on other work including assisting fashion designer Elizabeth Emanuel with the re-launch of her label.
During this period I continued to design for Royal Ballet Soloist Fernando Montano including costumes for his performances at the Britten Theatre in 2015 and Teatro Olimpico in 2016 and a hanging set installation for the Susie Sainsbury Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music in 2019.
Towards the end of 2018 I returned to designing both set and costume when I was asked to design the new musical comedy Midlife Cowboy that premiered in London in September 2019.
I have learned that I very much enjoy collaboration and the exchange of ideas and I’m especially drawn to highly expressive work and movement, both human and architectural and I enjoy working on a diverse range of projects and very much look forward to meeting new collaborators.
